Traveller Grav Tank

OK, It's not an Ogre miniature, but it is very cool...

That sharply-angled armour is very futuristic and (theoretically) great for deflecting shells, but not all modern shells glance off a slanting surface. Ceramic armour actually works better if the incoming fire hits it squarely! Plus that angled joint between the turret and the body is a real shell-trap...

that is pretty cool. It is like a tank version of a flander fish

This is a RAFM Traveller (formerly Martian Metals) design for 15mm scales. It is an awesome design dating back to the early 80's and had persisted throughout a good deal of the artwork of the Traveller game.

I want a whole division of these beautifully crafted Traveler GRAV tanks!

Hi Guys,

I designed and machined that traveler.

I was hired by Forest Brown, founder of Martian Metals in 1980. He brought me earlier model machined with very rough and bulky details. I agreed and redesigned the hover tank with fully detailed interior and exterior.

I no longer have my model, have photo of it in my website. I appreciate if anyone can send me detailed photos of that miniature.

Have Fun,
